The company was founded in Milan by Luigi Henin in 1848, succeeding Henin & Carlier.
The workshop was active under the banner of "crossed cutlery".
In 1868 Anatolio Henin (born 1831) succeeded his father, moving the business to Via Soncino Merati 13 (1869-1873) and to Via delle Orsole 4 (1874).
The company has participated in several exhibitions, obtaining various awards for its works (Florence and Milan).
In 1900 the business continued at Via delle Orsole 4 with the A. Henin - Silverware Factory style.
In 1935 the company registered the "42 MI" brand, changing the style to A. Henin snc (Piazza Borromeo 10, Milan) in 1970.
The company ceased operations in the 1980s.
