🖤 ​​Victorian era brooch/pendant of the highest quality and astonishing beauty. All rose crown cut diamonds are of equal transparency, purity and brilliance. They form a rosette enhanced by a contrasting black enamel border and three large drops hang freely, also surrounded by the same enamels. An absolute rarity is finding the original hook to use it as a pendant (visible in the photo on the back). Also in this element there is a natural diamond of the same cut. It is incredible how after about 150 years a sentimental jewel full of history and meaning is wearable and amplifies its charm. Among the "sentimental" jewels, in fact, the mourning jewel had great success. From 1861 Queen Victoria marked the beginning of this new custom. Not all creations are so bright and elaborate, this pendant will certainly have belonged to a very demanding and elegant lady. Made of 14k yellow gold, enamel and diamonds.
