Extremely rare set of antique Venetian flower earrings, dating back approximately 200 years. The pistil is a rare natural fancy diamond of intense yellow color, surrounded by eight natural, colorless rose diamonds in each earring. A small leaf connects to the hook of the earwire.
The distinctive feature of the jewelry made during this period is the so-called " night " setting. We'll note that the stones, which were extremely precious for the time, were enclosed so that only the upper part was visible. Diamonds were difficult to find and transport, and the large African mines had not yet been discovered. The gems, protected in this way, nevertheless released a captivating glow that sparkled in candlelight.
This jewel represents an unmissable piece in the most prestigious collections for its age, rarity and beauty.
The structure is in yellow gold while the protection of the gems, as usual, was in silver.
